Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during wisdom tooth extractions and complex surgical procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety during IV sedation and nitrous oxide administration
• Capture high-quality panoramic X-rays for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Provide clear, compassionate post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatory rooms to maintain a sterile environment
• Manage patient flow and coordinate care to create a smooth, stress-free experience

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification strongly preferred
• Proven experience with IV sedation, nitrous oxide, and panoramic X-rays
• Ability to perform chairside assisting for oral surgery with confidence
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in taking and interpreting vital signs
• Hands-on experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation monitoring
• Proficient in panoramic X-ray techniques
• Understanding of wisdom tooth surgery protocols
• Adept at providing post-operative care instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
