Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and provide personalized oral hygiene education to patients
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosing oral conditions
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to safety protocols
• Collaborate with dentists to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate dental records
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dental team

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license or ability to obtain one
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, quality patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with digital radiography and dental practice management software
• Understanding of patient safety and infection control standards
• Strong patient education and motivation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
