Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during exams and procedures, ensuring everything runs smoothly
• Prepare and sterilize instruments to keep our patients safe and comfortable
• Take and process dental radiographs with precision
• Apply and remove braces, wires, and other orthodontic appliances with care
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Help manage inventory and keep the clinical area clean and organized

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience, with orthodontic experience a plus
• State certification or fulfillment of Maryland dental assistant requirements
• Radiography certification to take X-rays
• Warm, professional demeanor with a passion for patient care
• Ability to work the specified shift from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM
• Great communication skills and a team player attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software and record keeping
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent patient interaction and customer service skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
