Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists with patient examinations and orthodontic procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment
- Take and develop dental X-rays and digital impressions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and proper care of braces and aligners
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans
- Support the team in delivering a positive and comfortable patient experience
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
- Current X-ray certification (Radiology Health and Safety)
- Experience in orthodontics is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
- Proficiency with dental software and digital patient records
- Excellent chairside manner and patient care focus
- Attention to infection control and sterilization standards
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a dental team
