Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with patient exams, procedures, and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as directed
• Provide patients with instructions on braces care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedule follow-up visits
• Support a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients

Qualifications

• Orthodontic Certification required
• Current dental assistant certification or license as required by Maryland state
• Comfortable working with dental software such as Denticon
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental practice
• CPR certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Attention to detail in maintaining patient records
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Effective communication with patients and team members
• Time management and organizational skills
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
