Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable and at ease
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training preferred
- Current CPR certification
- X-ray certification or ability to obtain
- Experience in orthodontics or a strong desire to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, patient-first attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Familiarity with dental software and charting systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Empathy and patience when working with patients
