Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care through cleanings, scaling, and polishing
• Assess and document patients' oral health, reporting findings to the dentist
• Take and develop dental x-rays with care and precision
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques
• Apply preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants
• Ensure a safe and sterile environment by following infection control protocols
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver outstanding patient experiences

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license required
• CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
• Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Skilled in using dental instruments and x-ray equipment
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
• Proficiency in electronic dental records
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
