Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during a variety of procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments are sterilized
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Help create a positive, comfortable experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Maryland dental assistant certification/registration or the ability to obtain
• X-ray certification strongly preferred
• Orthodontic assistant experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow infection control protocols

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality care
• Interpersonal skills that put patients at ease
• Team player with a positive attitude
