Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize operatory rooms and dental instruments
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear post-operative instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Dental Assistant certification or a valid credential
• BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Prior experience in oral surgery or dental assisting is a plus
• Ability to work flexibly on a per diem basis and adapt to different clinic settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental terminology, instruments, and surgical procedures
• Strong communication skills and a welcoming bedside manner
• Proficiency with dental software and patient record management
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention standards
