Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after oral surgery procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Assist with the administration of nitrous oxide and IV sedation, helping patients feel at ease throughout their treatment
- Take panoramic X-rays to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Support oral surgeons during wisdom tooth extractions and other surgical procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and their caregivers to promote smooth recovery
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental assistant, preferably in oral surgery or a surgical specialty
- Certification in Dental Radiography (or willingness to obtain) for taking panoramic X-rays
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and patient assessment
- Comfortable working with nitrous oxide and IV sedation
