Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during wisdom tooth extraction and other surgical procedures
- Take and monitor patient vital signs including blood pressure and pulse oximetry
- Administer nitrous oxide and assist with IV sedation as directed
- Capture panoramic X-rays accurately for diagnostic purposes
- Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
- Experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation
- Proficiency in panoramic X-ray acquisition
- Background in oral surgery or wisdom tooth procedures
- Ability to monitor vital signs and provide patient support
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Taking vital signs (BP, Pulse O2)
- Nitrous oxide and IV sedation techniques
- Panoramic X-ray imaging
- Wisdom tooth surgery assistance
- Post-operative care and instructions
