Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients primarily ages 0-3 in the Infant Child Development program
• Perform comprehensive assessments for children showing delays or deficits in activities of daily living, play, neuromuscular, sensory integrative, cognitive or psychosocial abilities
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that meet each child and family where they are
• Deliver direct therapy services and document progress clearly and consistently
• Educate and coach families so progress continues at home between visits
• Consult and collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary team members
• Guide discharge and transition planning that sets families up for long term success

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
• Active Kansas Occupational Therapy License (required)
• Valid Kansas Driver's License (documentation required)
• Basic Life Support certification from American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider or American Heart Association Health Care Provider, completed within the first 90 days of employment
• One year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred, but new grads with a passion for pediatrics are encouraged to apply

Education

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy [REQUIRED]
• Minimum Experience One year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred [PREFERRED]

• Neuromuscular, sensory integration, cognitive and psychosocial intervention approaches
