Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-02-2026
End Date: 09-01-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekends, and rotating holiday on-call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures with precision and care
- Operate GE imaging equipment and utilize Radnet & Merge Unity systems to deliver accurate diagnostic results
- Collaborate with an in-house radiologist and lead tech to ensure high-quality patient care
- Float to Mercy Downtown campus when needed to support seamless departmental operations
- Maintain safety standards and patient comfort during all nuclear medicine studies
Qualifications
- Active CA NMTL license required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
- Comfortable working with GE equipment and Radnet/Merge Unity systems
Knowledge & Skills
- Nuclear Medicine imaging expertise
- Strong attention to detail for accurate scan interpretation
- Ability to manage 5-10 studies per day efficiently
- Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to float between campuses
