Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and responses to care
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and health management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and patients

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing care principles, medication administration, and documentation
• Skill in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Teamwork and collaboration skills to support a positive unit culture
