Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to keep smiles healthy
• Assess oral health and document patient histories with care
• Take and develop dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a safe, sterile environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or ability to obtain)
• Current CPR certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Prior experience in a dental setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Comfortable using dental software for records and scheduling
• Keen attention to detail and infection control protocols
• Patient education skills that make a difference
• Ability to adapt to varying patient needs and office workflows
