Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients
- Conduct oral health assessments and document any abnormalities
- Take and develop dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure patient comfort
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Administer local anesthesia when required and as permitted by state regulations
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Experience in clinical dental hygiene, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dental care team
Education
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology
- Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental radiographs
- Skill in patient education and motivational interviewing
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
