Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by performing dental hygiene procedures such as cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care to promote long-term dental health
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
• Document patient care accurately and maintain up-to-date dental records
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Certification in CPR/BLS
• Experience performing dental hygiene procedures in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene techniques and best practices
• Proficiency with dental software and digital x-ray systems
• Strong manual dexterity and precision in clinical tasks
• Effective patient education and motivational skills
• Understanding of infection control standards and OSHA regulations
