Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to patients
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records
• Educate patients on preventive oral hygiene and aftercare
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene care
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Radiography and X-ray safety knowledge
• Understanding of dental anatomy, periodontics, and preventive care
• Familiarity with electronic dental records and scheduling systems
• Strong patient education and chairside manner
