Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and organized.
• Assist dental hygienists during procedures by handing instruments, managing suction, and providing patient comfort.
• Update and maintain patient records, including charting dental conditions and treatment notes.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-visit care.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure a smooth experience.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant Certification or relevant state licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification to ensure patient safety.
• Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting.
• Strong communication skills and a caring approach to patient care.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
• Skill in using dental software for scheduling and charting.
• Attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to maintain a sterile and organized workspace.
