Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety and comfort
- Provide compassionate care and companionship to residents
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for residents
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of Connecticut
- Current CPR certification (preferred)
- Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to varying schedules
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift and assist residents (physical requirements)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques
- Understanding of infection control practices
- Ability to use vital signs monitoring equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records
