Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Take and record vital signs, and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
  • Assist with mobility, positioning, and transfers to ensure resident safety and comfort
  • Support residents with meals and nutrition, monitoring intake and documenting as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through attentive, respectful care

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
  • A genuine passion for helping others and providing high-quality care
  • Ability to work a flexible per diem schedule
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
  • Previous experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of resident care procedures and safety protocols
  • Skills in taking vital signs and documenting patient information
  • Ability to lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics
  • Effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable nature
