Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide gentle, respectful assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
  • Assist residents with transferring, positioning, and mobility to ensure safety
  • Support nurses with clinical tasks and maintain accurate documentation
  • Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, comfortable, and inviting
  • Communicate warmly with residents and their families to foster trust and comfort

Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
  • CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in long-term, acute, or skilled nursing care is a plus
  • Ability to work per diem shifts with flexible availability

  • Solid understanding of basic patient care and infection control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
