Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take vital signs and promptly report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility, transferring, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and staff
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through attentive, empathetic care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
• Must present a valid state or federal issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
• Must provide documentation of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved religious/medical exemption
• Must complete the DHSS Background Check Center fingerprinting and background check requirements
• Ability to work night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping others

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care procedures and infection control practices
• Skills in taking vital signs and observing changes in patient condition
• Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately
• Teamwork and empathy in everyday interactions with residents and colleagues
• Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient privacy
