Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on the Geropsychiatric Unit, assessing and monitoring patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct therapeutic groups and one-on-one interventions to support patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including admissions, assessments, progress notes, and discharge planning.
• Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid New Hampshire RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required; 1 year in psychiatric or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (or diploma from a 3-year program) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and computer systems (Point Click EMR preferred).

Education

• 2-year Associates degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program required
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for psychiatric and geriatric patient populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (Point Click).
• Knowledge of therapeutic interventions and group facilitation.
