Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care and support to residents in a skilled nursing setting
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs, and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team
• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Alabama
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption required
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care procedures and infection control practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses and staff
• Compassion and patience when caring for residents with varying needs
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
• Attention to detail in documenting care and observing changes in condition
