Location: Silverdale, WA
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3x12s per week (36 hrs/week). Block scheduling allowed; schedule varies and is created around approved RTO. Every other weekend (Sat & Sun) required. Day shift (nocturnal shifts not required for this posting).

Candidate Pay Rate: $52.07 - $36.45 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate sitter and CNA care across assigned floors, prioritizing sitter utilization first
- Perform basic telemetry-related tasks such as monitoring EKGs and reporting abnormalities
- Take and document vital signs, blood sugars, and routine patient assessments
- Assist with feeding, ambulation, turning/positioning and hourly rounding to maintain safety and comfort
- Support safe patient transfers and ambulation while promoting mobility and independence
- Communicate clearly with nurses and resource staff; float to other hospitals in the region as needed
- Complete unit-specific documentation in EPIC and required modules during orientation and on an ongoing basis
Qualifications
- Current WA CNA license required (state-approved certification)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience (telemetry experience preferred)
- Comfortable working on telemetry units and able to monitor EKG strips/alerts
- Flexible, positive attitude and willingness to float within the region
- Ability to work 3x12s (day shift) and every-other-weekend coverage
- Willingness to complete 1-week unit orientation (3x12s) including EPIC training
Education
- CNA certification (state-approved)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and basic EKG recognition
- Strong observational skills for vital signs and blood sugar monitoring
- Patient safety practices: turning, positioning, fall prevention and hourly rounding
- Sitter utilization procedures and patient observation techniques
- Proficient communication and teamwork in fast-paced hospital settings
- Familiarity with EPIC or willingness to complete EPIC orientation
