Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality external beam radiation therapy and IMRT treatments for adult oncology patients
• Perform CT simulations and CBCT/kV/mV imaging to ensure precise tumor localization and treatment setup
• Position and immobilize patients using custom molds, shields, and advanced devices like HexaPOD and ExacTrac
• Operate Elekta treatment units (Infinity, Versa HD) and document care in MOSAIQ and Epic
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, safety, and aftercare with compassion and clarity
• Follow radiation safety protocols and participate in rapid response/code teams as needed
• Support billing and documentation for treatment types and devices to ensure accurate patient records

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification preferred
• Current BLS certification
• State licensure in Oregon (or ability to obtain) required
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
• Experience with Elekta systems, MOSAIQ, ExacTrac, and Epic charting is preferred
• Comfort working in a teaching hospital environment is a plus
• Familiarity with SBRT, IMRT, CT simulation, and CBCT imaging

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation Therapy and External Beam Therapy (including IMRT)
• CT Simulation and Pretreatment processes
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging and tumor localization
• Patient positioning, immobilization techniques, custom molds and shields
• Dosimetry basics and charting in MOSAIQ/Epic
• Experience with Elekta Infinity and Elekta Versa HD
• Use of lift/transfer devices (Maxi move, Hoyer), Sara Stedy and hover mat
• Respiratory gating, SBRT, and prostate seed/fiducial workflows
• Radiation safety, isolation precautions, and rapid response team procedures
• Billing for treatment types and devices
