Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Full-time 40 hours/week, rotating shifts including 4 weeknights/month, 24-36 hours weekend call/month, 1 holiday/year, 30-minute call response

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and care for patients in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
Float seamlessly between PACU and ACU to support the team
Handle pre-op and discharge duties with precision and care
Manage common cases like lap choles, bariatrics, orthos, and neuros
Read strips and collaborate with RT on vents and equipment
Respond quickly to calls and float as needed to keep care flowing

Qualifications

Active RN license
Must have PACU or ICU experience
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Education

RN degree required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in PACU and ICU patient care
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Skill in reading strips and managing post-op recoveries
Familiarity with bariatric, ortho, neuro, and general surgery cases
