Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Stockton, CA
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day)
Candidate Pay Rate: $40 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for communication and swallowing disorders
- Conduct thorough evaluations and document findings clearly and promptly in the patient record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapy and adjust treatment based on patient progress and goals
- Educate patients, families, and staff on communication strategies, safe swallowing techniques, and care plans
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's or higher in Speech-Language Pathology (typical requirement for clinical SLP roles)
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology or ability to obtain California licensure
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or equivalent professional certification
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification as required by facility
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills across adult populations
- Ability to pass background checks and any facility-specific clearances
Education
- Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in clinical evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Comfort working in medical and institutional healthcare environments
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time efficiently
- Competence in applying evidence-based practice and outcome measurement
