Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders to empower patients in communicating and swallowing safely
Complete thorough patient documentation including evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharges
Contact insurance companies to advocate for patient benefits
Prepare engaging evaluation and treatment sessions
Educate staff like nurses, physicians, and dietitians with up-to-date research and recommendations
Create in-service presentations to boost team knowledge
Collaborate with healthcare providers for truly patient-centered care
Maintain clean treatment spaces and assist patients and families in navigating the hospital

Qualifications

Masters degree in speech pathology from an accredited program
Current Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist license
Valid drivers license
BLS certification
1+ years of related experience preferred, especially in hospital settings

Education

Masters degree in speech pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Intermediate computer proficiency
Strong assessment and planning skills
Quantitative and analytical abilities
Self-starter mindset with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving
