Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs and design individualized intervention plans
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy to an elementary school caseload
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress in the classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and measurable progress for each student
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of sessions, progress notes, and required school reports
• Provide consultative support and strategies to classroom staff to promote carryover of skills
• Participate in team meetings and positive, solution-focused communication with families

Qualifications

• Active Oregon SLP license required
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent credential)
• Experience with elementary school caseload and school-based practice
• Comfort working in a school environment; focus on direct therapy (no Medicaid billing or case management required)
• Clear background check and ability to meet district onboarding requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
• Familiarity with school IEP processes and educational documentation
• Skilled in progress monitoring, goal writing, and classroom-based supports
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt therapy to classroom routines and educational goals
