Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week, including weekend rotation, no on-call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to cardiopulmonary patients of all ages and acuity levels
  • Perform diagnostic procedures to evaluate and monitor pulmonary function
  • Manage ventilators and critical care equipment for patients in the ICU and other high-acuity areas
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized respiratory care plans
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory treatments and home care techniques
  • Document patient responses and adjust treatment modalities as needed

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; CRT not accepted
  • Current Colorado Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience required
  • Excellent critical care and ventilator management skills with neonatal and pediatric experience
  • Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (all required)
  • Completed an approved Respiratory Therapy Program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree)

Education

  • Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program

Knowledge & Skills

  • Expertise in critical care ventilation and airway management
  • Knowledge of neonatal and pediatric respiratory care protocols
  • Strong diagnostic and procedural skills for pulmonary assessments
  • Ability to adapt to patients of all ages and acuity levels
  • Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Point Click
