Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional bedside care to telemetry patients on a busy 20 Tower unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond confidently to changes in patient status
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips with precision and confidence
• Care for patients with oncology, hematology, sickle cell, and surgical laminectomy needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a large Level 1 Trauma environment
• Float to other units as needed and bring your skills wherever they are needed most
• Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC
• Support clinical research rooms and GIP beds when the need arises
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with the ability to submit your license
• At least 2 years of RN experience, with 3 or more years strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience is a big plus
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Hands-on cardiac drip experience required
• Comfortable floating between units and adapting to new teams
• Experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital setting
• EPIC charting experience required
• Open to a schedule that includes every other weekend

Education

• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Notes: Daily Parking is $15+/day. Multiple options for on/off campus garages and lots ranging from $95 - $120 for monthly parking pass.

• Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Acute care nursing expertise
• Confidence managing cardiac drips and titratable medications
• Knowledge of oncology, hematology, and sickle cell care
• Experience with post-surgical laminectomy patients
• Level 1 Trauma awareness and quick clinical judgment
• Team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
