Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and preventive care for patients
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed to support diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and overall health
• Assist dentists with procedures and accurate charting
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile treatment area
• Provide compassionate, patient-focused care that puts people at ease

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Dental hygiene experience preferred but new grads welcome to apply
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with a one-day per diem coverage assignment

• Dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance
• Radiography and digital X-ray skills
• Patient education and oral health coaching
• Electronic medical records charting
• Infection control and sterilization best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
