Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to neurology, stroke, neurosurgery and EMU patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma setting
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips with confidence and clinical precision
• Perform ongoing neurological assessments using NIHSS standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support complex neuro and telemetry patient populations
• Float across units as needed, bringing your skills wherever patients need you most
• Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC
• Educate patients and families through every step of the recovery journey
• Respond quickly and calmly to changing patient conditions on a busy high-acuity unit

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact eligibility)
• Current ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with 3+ years preferred for this unit
• Previous travel experience is a big plus
• Experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital setting
• Comfort caring for neurology, stroke, neurosurgery and EMU patients
• Hands-on experience with cardiac drips
• EPIC charting experience required
• Openness to floating and schedule flexibility is essential
• BSN not required, so ADN-prepared nurses are welcome to apply
