Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients as they emerge from anesthesia
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth recovery and discharge
• Educate and support families on post-operative care instructions
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly
• Respond quickly and calmly to changing patient conditions

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license (or compact state license) required
• BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Previous PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a smile
• Genuine love for working with children and their families

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication with pediatric patients and families
• Knowledge of pediatric anesthesia recovery and pain management
• Ability to prioritize care in a busy PACU setting
• Comfort with electronic health records and patient monitoring equipment
