Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures
• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and appliance placements
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on proper care for braces, aligners, and retainers
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes
• Manage inventory and ensure supplies are stocked and organized

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• X-ray certification and experience taking dental radiographs
• Prior orthodontic assisting experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and patient education ability
• Strong attention to detail and infection control standards
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office
