Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Provide exceptional patient support and comfort throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Valid dental assistant certification or license as required by Maryland state regulations
• Experience working in an orthodontic or dental setting preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Radiography (X-ray) certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
