Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and scaling to maintain patient oral health
• Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices
• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
• Document patient care and update health histories accurately and confidentially
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a welcoming dental environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative dental team
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene techniques and best practices
• Familiarity with dental charting and patient management software
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
• Manual dexterity and precision in performing clinical procedures
