Location: Dallas, TX

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends required (Friday & Saturday), possible on-call, 36 hours guaranteed
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess NICU patients and identify nursing diagnoses based on their responses to health problems
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care for neonates in a Level III/IV NICU
- Coordinate patient care delivery with the healthcare team using the Parkland nursing professional practice model
- Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans to ensure the best outcomes
- Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act
- Support patients and families through every step of the healthcare journey
Qualifications
- 2+ years of current Level III or Level IV NICU experience
- Active Texas or Compact RN license
- Active AHA or ARC BLS certification
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Comfort with EPIC charting and HIE, surfactant administration, and PICC line procedures
- Willingness to disclose any previous Parkland employment history
Knowledge & Skills
- NICU nursing process and patient assessment
- Neonatal care plan development and patient care coordination
- EPIC electronic health record proficiency
- HIE management, surfactant administration, and PICC line insertion/care
- BLS and NRP life support techniques
