Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with medical-surgical and neurological conditions
Monitor and assess patients' neurological status, vitals, and responses to treatment
Administer medications, IV therapies, and interventions per physician orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update care plans
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document accurately and comply with all regulatory standards

Qualifications

Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in med-surg or neurology preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in neurological assessments and monitoring
Knowledge of med-surg nursing principles and interventions
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent documentation and time management skills
