Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts
Collaborate with psychiatrists and security teams to ensure patient safety
Administer medications and perform procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and safety protocols
Float to support ED psych holds or other MedSurg units as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with a genuine interest in behavioral health patients
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cerner electronic medical record system
Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Safe medication administration and sterile technique
De-escalation and behavioral health safety practices
Video monitoring and restraint protocols
