Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with weekend requirement every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
Independently manage patient care from admission through discharge while supporting moms and babies
Titrate critical drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate to ensure safe deliveries
Collaborate with a tight-knit team where every nurse backs up the others
Float as a helping hand to other units when needed, showcasing your versatility
Monitor fetal strips and maternal cardiac rhythms with precision and confidence

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or eligibility for the 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong experience in L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery
Ability to work independently across all areas with minimal supervision
Comfortable floating and adapting quickly to changing patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

Confident with AWHONN staffing guidelines and fetal monitoring
Skilled at titrating Pitocin, insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate drips
Proficient with FE Centricity Perinatal and central monitoring systems
Ready to stabilize and transfer neonates using vent and Bubble CPAP equipment
Flexible and calm under pressure when the unit shifts from quiet to bustling
