Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to med/surg patients with diverse conditions
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapies with precision
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate when needed
Document accurately in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa (or compact state) – we’ll help with verification
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
At least one year of recent med/surg experience preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in med/surg nursing including wound care, telemetry monitoring, and post-op care
Proficient in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient education
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable using electronic medical records systems
