Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other oncology medications safely
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage symptoms effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, side effects, and self-care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Advocate for patients' needs and ensure a supportive healing environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or valid compact state license
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous oncology experience preferred but not required - we welcome passionate new graduates!
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of oncology nursing principles and chemotherapy administration
• Proficient in patient assessment, symptom management, and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families during challenging times
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic clinical setting
