Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care while floating across medical, surgical acute, and cardiovascular units
• Assess, monitor, and advocate for patients with acute and step-down needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely using Pyxis and other systems
• Manage wound vacs, chest tubes, and complex patient care equipment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create positive patient outcomes
• Document accurately and promptly in Meditech EMR
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and unit needs with a calm, professional attitude

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license in hand by the start of the assignment (or willing to apply upon acceptance)
• 2-10 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred
• Documented proof of immunity per facility policy (no medical or religious exemptions accepted)
• Ability to attend employee health appointment on the Thursday before the start date

Knowledge & Skills

• Med-Surg and Step Down nursing expertise
• Comfortable with Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication administration
• Skilled in wound vac management and chest tube care
• Current BLS and ACLS (PALS, TNCC, ENPC a plus)
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability for floating
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
