Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, documenting changes and responding appropriately
• Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications safely and accurately
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, aides, and respiratory therapists
• Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
• Participate in a 1-shift orientation to quickly integrate into the unit

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Valid driver's license (used for radius verification)
• Comfort with electronic charting in EPIC

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care nursing and patient assessment
• Proficiency in drip titration (cardiac, insulin, sedation)
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Experience with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress patients
