Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Triage patients quickly and efficiently to prioritize care based on acuity
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered, monitoring patient responses
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Provide patient and family education, offering reassurance and guidance during stressful moments
• Respond confidently to emergencies, adapting to changing situations with a calm, focused approach
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment that supports positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire
• Experience in emergency nursing or critical care preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable with a flexible, per diem schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols, triage, and patient stabilization
• Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Ability to operate emergency equipment such as monitors, defibrillators, and ventilators
• Excellent documentation and electronic health record skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
