Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and intake evaluations for individuals in a substance use treatment setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and recovery-focused
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions addressing mental health and substance use disorders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, correctional facility staff, and case managers to coordinate care
• Document clinical encounters and maintain timely, compliant treatment records
• Participate in training week activities and help orient staff to therapeutic protocols when needed
• Respond to crises and provide brief stabilization interventions as appropriate

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist (PSY/PSYL), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) — PSYL/LMFT/LPCC credentials are accepted
• Experience or interest working in mental health and substance abuse treatment settings
• Comfort working within a secure/correctional treatment environment and following facility protocols
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with treatment planning
• Current, unrestricted license to practice (per applicable state regulations)

Education

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions for substance use disorders
• Experience leading individual and group therapy sessions
• Familiarity with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of behavioral health documentation standards and confidentiality best practices
• Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations
