Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during procedures, ensuring a gentle and stress-free experience for young patients
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and organizing supplies
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate children and parents on effective oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and support smooth clinic operations
• Provide a warm, friendly presence that puts kids at ease

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred, but uncertified candidates with a heart for pediatric care are encouraged to apply
• Prior experience as a dental assistant, especially in a pediatric setting, is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Willingness to meet Wisconsin state dental assisting regulations

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children
• Ability to take and process dental X-rays safely
• Comfort with dental charting and patient management software
