Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories in compliance with infection control standards
• Take and mount dental X-rays and photographs for accurate treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care instructions to promote healthy smiles
• Manage patient records and update treatment notes using Denticon software
• Provide exceptional patient care and comfort, especially for anxious patients
• Maintain inventory of orthodontic supplies and materials

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant (required)
• Experience in a dental office, preferably orthodontic
• Familiarity with Denticon software is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A caring and positive attitude with excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic assisting techniques, including bracket placement and wire changes
• Dental terminology and procedures
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
• Patient documentation and recordkeeping
• Knowledge of dental X-rays and imaging
• Familiarity with Denticon or other dental practice management software
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
